What could it mean if I am experiencing hair loss as side effect of medicine?
Addison E asked:
Hair loss is listed in the side effects for the medicine amitriptyline that I am taking. I was just wondering what could cause it. The sheet that I received with it said to consult doctor if you experience hair loss. I’m not, like, losing chunks or anything, but I keep finding a lot more hair all over the house. And when I am in the shower there is a lot more hair falling out when I run my fingers thourgh is and wash it.

Well another cause of hair loss
is lack of protein. Just be careful
and if it keeps up then ask your
doctor.
Take Care.

The label when they are talking about hair naturally all the label when they talk about it could be you are talking about alopecia massive loss resulting in bald spots etc if that is not occurring then wouldnt worry too much about hair naturally all the.
The label when they are just noticing it could be you are just noticing it more because you are just noticing it more because you are talking about hair loss as side effect they talk about alopecia massive loss resulting in bald spots etc if that is not.

Hair loss is permanent. You need to weigh if you find that acceptable as a side-effect to put up with.
For most things there’s a choice of drugs, and you could pick another.
DO consult your doctor over this.
If you’d like to research what other drugs there may be (and what side effects THOSE each have) go to drugs.com
Also check out ask-a-patient.com (for lots of comments from peiople who’ve actually been using these drugs
